Swatcom Broadcast Camera Headset — Full Cup, Split Ear, XLR5M

The Swatcom AK5850H is a professional broadcast camera headset developed with Showcomms as the direct replacement for the discontinued Peltor black camera headset. All black, built for studio and outside broadcast, and available from UK stock.

Split Ear — Independent Audio Routing

The earcups are independently wired, allowing the intercom system to assign different audio sources to each ear. Run talkback in both ears, or PTB in one ear and programme audio in the other — the choice is made at the system, not the headset.

Kevlar-Reinforced Cable — Built for the Floor

1.5m straight cable, 7-core, Kevlar-reinforced. The mic circuit runs on its own independently screened and shielded pair within the cable — less chance of interference between mic and audio feeds, even in high RF broadcast environments. External cables and connectors feature moulded waterproof strain reliefs for durability in demanding studio and OB conditions. All leads and cables are premium grade and tested to 1,000,000 flexions.

SNR 32dB Hearing Protection

Full ear defenders rated SNR 32dB — suitable for high-noise studio and OB environments including live music, sports, and outside broadcast. The padded headband features adjustable pressure control with soft ear cushions, giving a secure and comfortable fit for extended wear.

XLR5M — For RTS-Wired Systems

XLR5M connector for RTS-wired intercom panels and studio talkback infrastructure. Also available with XLR4F for Riedel, Tecpro, and Clearcom beltpacks — see Swatcom XLR4F model.

Spare Parts Available
