The Superlux HMD685 is a professional double-sided intercom headset with a flexible anti-vibration gooseneck boom microphone, designed for broadcast, theatre, live events, schools, and venue production teams. Two ear cups for higher noise isolation and greater situational focus — ideal for roles where you need to be fully in the comms world.

This version is terminated with XLR5M — the correct connector for comms panels, intercom matrices, and wireless beltpack systems that use 5-pin XLR. Plug and play, no re-termination required.

Flexible Anti-Vibration Gooseneck Boom — Clear Voice, Noise Rejection

The cardioid dynamic mic is mounted on a flexible gooseneck boom that resists vibration and holds its position without drifting. The fully rotating boom arm positions for left or right ear wearing — essential for sound, lighting, and stage management roles where the headset may be worn for hours at a stretch.

Boom-Position Mic Mute

Raising the boom to the upright position automatically mutes the microphone — a clean, intuitive way to go off-mic without touching a button or disconnecting from the beltpack. Lower the boom and you're live again.

Lightweight Cable

The HMD685 is fitted with a lighter, thinner cable than earlier production runs — reducing overall weight without compromising durability. A running change introduced to improve long-wear comfort.

XLR5M — Ready for Comms Panels and Wireless Systems
