Who is the UltraLITE HD UL5S for?
Choose the standard UL5S when a small team needs up to five headsets, straightforward deployment and dependable hands-free communication across a defined working area. It is the simpler, better-value starting point when you do not need the fixed central coverage or expansion provided by an UltraLITE HD HUB.

Should I choose the standard UL5S, an UltraLITE HD HUB or Pro16?
The standard UL5S supports up to five headsets without a separate HUB. Choose it when simplicity, lower equipment cost and a compact working area are the priorities.

Choose an UltraLITE HD HUB when you want coverage anchored to a dedicated central unit, need to support more than five remote headsets, or are deploying several separate systems at one site. Choose Pro16 when you need a system without a central HUB, capacity up to 16 headsets, longer stated range or longer operating time. Pro16 operates at 2.4GHz, while UltraLITE HD operates at 1.9GHz.

Compatibility note: UltraLITE HD and Pro16 are separate system families. Their headsets and system components are not interchangeable, so they cannot be mixed within one system.

Fast battery change
Because the batteries charge separately in the charger rather than in the headset, a flat battery can be swapped in seconds without losing headset pairing — useful for long productions and back-to-back use.

Please note — High Noise Environments
The UltraLITE HD uses an integrated headset and cannot be used with ear defenders or alternative headsets. For high-noise environments requiring ear defenders with integrated comms, see our wired beltpack systems and our Altair Wireless Systems with XLR4F connectivity.
