Eartec UltraLITE HD Single-Sided Master Headset (ULSM)

Single-sided full duplex master headset for the Eartec UltraLITE HD wireless intercom system. No beltpack, no base station, no cable — the DECT transceiver is built into the headset. Licence free.

One master headset is required per system. The ULSM controls communication across the group and is the only headset type that can operate the system without a Hub. Supplied with lithium-ion battery (6 hour operation when fully charged, 3 hour charge time). Battery is field-swappable — it can be removed and replaced during use without tools. Before you start — the mic killswitch: When the boom arm is pointing vertically upwards, in line with the headband, the microphone is switched off. This is by design — it is the mute position. It is also the most common reason a headset appears not to work straight out of the box. If you power on and cannot be heard, check the boom arm position first. Rotate it down and forward to the operating position and the mic will activate.

Switching ear sides: The boom arm can be worn on either side. To switch, rotate the arm up and over — never down and under. Rotating down and under can break the internal stop mechanism and means a full headset replacement. There is no repair for a broken stop.

UK and European frequency set only. UltraLITE HD headsets are produced in different frequency sets for different markets. UK/European and US frequency headsets are not compatible with each other. To confirm your system is the correct frequency set, check the inside of the headband arm on the boom side — a black label with white letters reading "NB" confirms UK/European compatibility. Range note

As a rule of thumb: if you can see where the Com-Center is located, the system is likely to work. Obstacles — a large crowd, steel or concrete structures, industrial racking — will reduce signal penetration. Good placement of the Com-Center will have a significant effect on overall system performance.
