Tecpro BP511 Single Circuit Wired Intercom Beltpack 27-511

The Tecpro BP511 is a single-circuit Series 2 wired intercom beltpack. Canford Audio part number 27-511.

Tecpro Series 2 beltpacks are tough, lightweight remote intercom stations designed for portable use in theatre, broadcast, and live events — where equipment may not always be handled with care. They retain the robustness and simplicity of earlier Tecpro designs while extending performance to meet current operational requirements, and are fully compatible with first-generation Tecpro equipment.

BP511 — Single Circuit Features:

• Male and female 3-pin XLR connectors for connection to intercom circuit — compatible with standard microphone cables
• Loop-through for daisy-chaining beltpacks to form a temporary intercom circuit
• Single headphone volume control
• Two ‘Mic Select’ switches in parallel — latching and non-latching (press-to-talk) operation
• XLR 4-pin headset connector
• Powerful headphone amplifier
• Sidetone preset — adjusts level of own voice in headset
• Limiter on mic amplifier — prevents distortion due to input overload

Call Alert & Signalling:

• Call alert send and receive via 20kHz tone and DC signal (DC retained for compatibility with first-generation Tecpro)
• Visual call indication — Call button and Mic buttons flash on receipt of alert
• Mimic Call LED on base for visibility from most angles
• Audible call confidence tone in headset — programmable
• Vibration call alert option (model dependent)

Remote Mic Kill:

• Send and receive Remote Mic Kill via 24kHz tone — automatically mutes active microphones on receipt -
  This feature is specific to Current Tecpro Models only. Note: first-generation Tecpro beltpacks with mechanical Mic Select switches cannot respond to Mic Kill tone.

Operating Modes (programmable):

• Bright and dim indicator modes — low-light mode for blackout conditions dims green Mic buttons and suppresses call flash
• Microphone disable mode
• Last configuration recall on power-up (hold button as DC power applied)
• Beltpack settings revert to factory default when system power removed

Construction:

• High-impact ABS case — matt black finish to minimise visibility in stage applications
• Recessed connectors and controls to prevent damage and accidental operation
• Dimensions: 120 × 103 × 54 mm (L × W × H)
• Weight: 240g (without vibrator motor)
• Current consumption: 40mA maximum in Call mode with all LEDs on
