The overhead cable service kit is the internal headband cable assembly for the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro and DT 1990 Pro — the wiring that runs through the headband and connects the drivers. When this cable fails, the fault is usually intermittent: one side drops out, or audio cuts when the headband flexes. It's a known wear point on heavily used pairs.

This is the genuine Beyerdynamic replacement part. The kit includes the bracket cable and two fastening clips for installation. Beyerdynamic part number 916516.
