The TC4 headset from Showcomms is made to a US company specification in China and imported direct by Showcomms from the USA. 
We are their only European importer of this product.

 

PTT
Known commonly as a ring finger PTT it is supplied with a velcro roll for fastening around the ring finger and operated by the thumb.
The velcro PTT can also be wrapped around a trouser belt loop and operated from this position.


MICROPHONE
The high quality tie clip microphone is fitted with a low profile pin clip and is worn under the shirt or upper garments.

The Mic and the PTT each have 36" / 91cm long, thin cable so the unit can be fitted comfortably and hidden as required.

The concept and reason behind the TC4 headset.

The TC4 headset was conceived on our 1st exhibition stand in Counter Terror, London in 2007.  A member of the Singapore Police force visited our stand and required a headset that would blend in when worn in public.The headset must be functional with a hidden microphone and a finger PTT switch but i must also appear to look as if they were just listening to their iPod or Walkman.  

Our first model of TC4 had two, captive, black ear speakers. Early feedback indicated that officers wanted to use branded earphones as they were even less conspicuous and so on the next production run the earphones were replaced with a 3.5mm jack socket.  Suddenly we had produced a very versatile headset that could be used with any number of accessories from Ipod headphones to acoustic tube earpieces, from standard issue ear hangers to ear defenders and induction neck loops.
